20 year old organic vineyard from Julian’s wife’s family. The soil is a mix of Dehli sand and silty clay. 3 weeks on the skins. Aged on the lees in neutral French oak for 8 months. No So2 added. 70 cases produced.
The two brothers Julian and Sebastian Erggelet have worked their way through harvests, cellars and kitchens across the world before landing in California in 2014. They fell in love with Contra Costa’s heritage vineyards and decided to create their label in 2015 with the intent of “farming with integrity and making wine that tells a story of sand, blazing sun and howling winds off the California Delta”
