Wines have always been processed simply, without chemical inputs, very few sulphites to allow the terroir to express itself without artifice. Since 2016, commitment to organic farming has been the natural path to this quest for purity and respect for our vineyard.
My great grandfather, Florian Boissel, founded the estate in 1921. Then 3 generations of winemakers succeeded one another at the Domaine de Brousse.
Indeed, since 1981, my parents Susanne and Philippe have been working every day to maintain this family heritage that is dear to them, and have constantly evolved their profession as winemakers to create wines with an assertive personality.
It was in 2016, after a few professional wanderings in Paris, that I decided to open a new chapter in the history of the field.
The 10-hectare vineyard is located on one of the most beautiful terroirs in the region: the first coasts of the Cordais plateau. Its great richness is its clay-limestone soil facing south, swept by the Autan wind, as well as a great diversity of fauna and flora allowing the grapes to naturally reach perfect aromatic maturity.
We work in the direction of nature, the soil has been our catalyst, so we have a phytosanitary protection practice oriented towards respecting the environment, and preserving the diversity of the ecosystem. We seek optimal maturity every year, and we often take considerable risks to achieve it. These values are fundamental to us!
Creating our wine is the result of this particular attachment to this heritage that we work and preserve every day. Spending our days in the cellar to work on our cuvées, trying blends to glimpse the profile of the next vintage and placing our name on the bottle are the steps we take each year to achieve a single goal: to give the best and share the pleasure, the result of this work. This is what inspires and drives us on a daily basis.
