We are a husband and wife team making expressive wines of style, and focus. The wines are intentionally crafted to show the terroir of the various vineyards we work with throughout the state of California. After careful monitoring, the grapes are picked so that the wine can be made simply rather than scientifically. The wines are made in an old world style fermented with native yeast and whole cluster.
Katelynn has had a knack for art from an early age; watching her father sculpt metal in his gallery in the Monterey Bay. As a result, she watercolors all the labels for Irene wine. The winery name is a tribute to my mother whom passed away when I was younger.
