Coquelicot - Chardonnay - Santa Barbara County, CA - 2018

Farmed organically at the Coquelicot Estate, just off the Santa Ynez River. The estate is an ideal place for growing a huge variety of wine grapes. The wine is made by Mike Roth of Lo-Fi wines in partnership with his nephew & up n’ coming winemaker Sean Hogan (he happens to be the cellar master at Coquelicot too!) This wine is like Jura meets Santa Barbara. Just what the doctor ordered :) Try it paired up with the Burgundy we chose to showcase it with in our wine club! Devevey “Champs Perdrix”! It’s loco. Tasting Notes: Aromas of mango, pear, Valencia orange, orange blossom, manchego. On the palate layers stone fruit, juicy orange citrus, melon interlaced with a touch of minerality. The neutral French oak envelops an enjoyable texture without compromising the bright and vibrant fruit flavors.
