A natural wine made from the up-and-coming variety, Trebbiano Abruzzese. A nice straw yellow color gorgeous exotic, nose, saffron, fresh and fruity taste. Fermented and refined in the winegrower's grandparents' concrete vessels.
Near to the Adriatic coastline in Eastern Italy, Davide and Laura Febo decided to connect with their family history and grow the Febo winery and family business. Their family were generational farmers, but their grandfather was the true inspiration for the winery, planting the first Montepulciano grapes.
Now, those Montepulciano grapes have been joined by other varieties such as trebbiano and pecorino. Febo searches for the best ways to blend tradition and innovation, always trying to sustain the natural environment of their Chieti and Spoltore vineyards. Febo’s wines are farmed and made organically, rely on native yeast fermentation, and are unfiltered.
Family is all important to Febo. Touches of their ancestral history can be seen throughout the winery, and is represented best of all in their unique cement tanks. Painted vibrantly in red and white, they were originally painted and purchased by Laura and David’s grandmother, who had diligently sold fruit in local markets to acquire them.
No one describes Febo and their wines better than themselves: “The goal of the winery is to produce wines that are a clear expression of the territory and of the passion for viticulture.”
