Notes from the Winery/Importer

all grapes are were picked for acid. native yeast and bacteria. vermentino was destemmed, then cold soaked for 3 days, pressed, fermented in concrete. chenin blanc and roussanne were crushed, pressed, and fermented in neutral barrel. all wines underwent malolactic fermentation, then aged on lees for 10 months in barrel and concrete. bottled unfined and unfiltered. 70 cases produced.

We launched ídola wine co in 2023 with the intention of cultivating awareness in our day to day lives. We treat wine as a meditation - from grape to glass - and believe in its power to communicate the complexities of Nature. Our fruit is processed in a minimal-intervention style that respects the subtleties of each vintage and honestly captures terroir in a glass. Consuming, and now producing, these types of wines encourages us to look beyond the bottle and reflect on where we fit into a bigger picture. There is beauty in knowing that every interpretation will be unique. We invite you to meditate on a glass of ídola, appreciating its unique sensibility each time you open a bottle.
