Decomposed granite and volcanic soils lay a sturdy foundation for these vines to grow on their north facing slope. El Dorado granite explodes from this wine leading with graphite, red fruit and savory aromatics. We only made 2 barrels of this wine and it was our last time working with the fruit. If you have enjoyed this wine in the past you will love this vintage.

Bright raspberry/ Pencil shavings/ Olive brine/ Medium weight

The wine was fermented 100% whole cluster with native yeast, unfined and unfiltered

We are a husband and wife team making expressive wines of style, and focus. The wines are intentionally crafted to show the terroir of the various vineyards we work with throughout the state of California. After careful monitoring, the grapes are picked so that the wine can be made simply rather than scientifically. The wines are made in an old world style fermented with native yeast and whole cluster.

Katelynn has had a knack for art from an early age; watching her father sculpt metal in his gallery in the Monterey Bay. As a result, she watercolors all the labels for Irene wine.
