Satellite's Hot Take
"A totally unexpected masterpiece that's all but free. Organic and simply made with extended lees aging in tank, the wine sings of the secondary grapes of the Prosecco region with a bit more complexity and aromatics that we think should be the main event when looking for northern Italian bubbles. A terrific aperitif that's wayyyy more serious than the average Prosecco!"

Notes on the Producer
Brothers Bruno and Massimo Marion have run their family winery since 1999, but multiple previous generations of the Marion family have owned vines and produced wines here continuously since the 1800s. The vineyard extends from the hillside slopes around Conegliano and Valdobbiadene down to the banks of the Piave River. where calcareous white stones cover the soil and slowly release the heat accumulated during the day, thus optimizing grape maturity and freshness. Vines are trained using the Sylvoz system, which produces a dense canopy and requires little pruning. To be clear, this is not colf fondo “farmhouse wine”: The cellar is state of the art, 100% gravity-fed, and equipped with automated temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. But, all vines are farmed under biodynamic principles, the winery is certified organic by the ICEA, and the end result is a line-up of remarkably serious, brut-zero wines.
