Notes from the Winery/Importer
This 2022 Roussette du Bugey is a beautifully expressive Altesse from steep, glacial moraine soils, crafted with a natural, hands-off approach. The result is a wine with a delicate yet complex nose, featuring notes of honey, white flowers, and subtle truffle nuances. On the palate, it offers roundness and balance, with a freshness that makes it both immediate and age-worthy. At just 11% ABV, it’s a lighter yet textured wine

Notes on the Producer
The vineyard was created in 2000 by Jean-Christophe who joined forces with his two sons Lucien and Baptiste on August 1, 2020.
Located in the towns of Saint Sorlin en Bugey and Lagnieu ,
The estate now has 17 different grape varieties, including some forgotten varieties. The vines extend over 6.3 Ha, where white, red or rosé wines are produced, with or without bubbles.
We find several types of soil on the property, clay-limestone scree on the south-west facing hillsides with slopes reaching 60% in places and Rhone fluvio-glacial complexes for the rest.
The estate has been run biodynamically since 2009, certified by Demeter.
