Notes from the Winery/Importer
Dry wine made from 100% sauvignon grapes. Vineyards in the Ramandolo area, at an altitude of 300 – 350 m above sea level, exposed to midday, sheltered by Mount Bernadia. Soil type: marl of Eocene origin. Manual harvest, normally in the last ten days of September. Color: intense yellow. Varietal aromas. Taste: very full and complex. It goes well with delicate first courses, fish, shellfish and white meat.
Notes on the Producer
How I Describe Myself Rational, but a dreamer. Bad-tempered, stubborn as a hidalgo, yet passionate and willing to understand. I have always believed in the strength of my vineyards, with their simple and sincere fruit, because they give me a sense of things under a sky that allows me to dream. I dislike false appearances. Roots and Beginnings I am a man of truth. I was born here in Ramandolo, at the foot of the mountain, and perhaps for this reason, I bear a rugged face. I started small, with a modest plot of land so well suited to vines that it is unique. It’s clear—I’m in love with it. I had the courage to be the first to bring my wine outside the village walls, into the world. Ambition and Faith My ambition shows no signs of abating. I offer simple wines, imperfect in my own eyes, as I constantly strive for the highest quality. I do not want sophisticated technology in my cellar—tradition guides me. My wife, Renata, inspires and strengthens me in this faith; and my daughters, who work alongside me, are the joy of the future.
