Known for its bright fruit and gentle structure, this Gamay is a wine of charm and finesse, ideal for both casual enjoyment and thoughtful pairing at the table. Bouquet: Aromas of fresh red berries, raspberry, and strawberry, interwoven with subtle floral notes and a delicate hint of spice. Palate: Lively and smooth, with vibrant fruit flavors carried on a silky texture. Gentle acidity and soft tannins create a balanced, refreshing finish. Pairings: Exceptionally versatile, this Gamay pairs well with roasted poultry, charcuterie, mushrooms, and soft cheeses like Brie. Notes on the Producer
For more than two hundred years our Estate upholds excellence in viticulture, continued today by the 8th generation of the Rochaix family. With passion and know-how, we ally the respect of our traditions with a fine mastery of the art of winemaking, based on the latest advances in oenology. Our ambition: to preserve the soul of our terroir by honoring its ancestral heritage. Together we celebrate authenticity, the transmission of our values and the love of our vineyards, to offer you wines which tell our story. The tiny village of Peissy, in the heart of Geneva’s vineyards a few kilometers outside the city, has been home to our family estate since 1794. With over 230 years of winegrowing tradition, Domaine Les Perrières is now run by the 8th generation of the Rochaix family, who perpetuates the know-how of winemaking with passion. We master the art of combining traditional winemaking with the latest knowledge in oenology. DIVERSE QUALITY WINES Domaine Les Perrières offers seventeen diverse grape varieties. Each variety is typified by its own cultivation and winemaking technique that will allow it to express its authentic personality and distinctive flavor to the fullest. Our Estate is often found at the top of the podium at national and international competitions, and our vintages can be found in some of the best restaurants in Switzerland and around the world. OUR TERROIR AND THE ENVIRONMENT Through our mission to respect the environment and the planet, we prioritize ecological initiatives with sustainable development in mind. To support biodiversity in our parcels, we plant trees and hedges, build beehives and birdhouses, and establish ponds for local wildlife. We support clean energy and aim to power all of our buildings with solar energy. To reinforce our environmentally friendly and local production, we cultivate our wines adhering to the local label “Geneve Region – Terre Avenir” (GRTA). PEISSY, A UNIQUE VINEYARD 912 is a landmark date in the history of the village of Peissy and its vineyards. A document dating from this time officially records the donation of this land to Satigny Priory. The age-old cultivation of vines is celebrated every year in November at the village St. Martin Festival. The terroir, composed of molassic and clay soils, and the mild climate of the region, lend a warmth to our wines to underline the quality of our grapes.
