THE HISTORY OF THE ESTATE
Passionate about the work of the land and in love with nature, I embody the second generation of winemakers in the family.
Located on the right bank of the southern Rhône coast, my estate is very close to the Pont-du-Gard, a famous 2000-year-old Roman building, on the southern flank of the medieval village of Castillon-du-Gard.
Composed of about ten hectares, it is on a human scale, which allows me to always be at the heart of things, an actor in all stages from land work and winemaking, to commercialization.
The vineyards are distributed on both sides of the village, the scrubland and its treasures are never far away, but the places change for my greatest pleasure. Different atmospheres for different terroirs!
The land has been conducted from the beginning in respect of the environment according to the rules of organic agriculture and under ecocert certification since 1998.
No synthetic pesticides, no herbicides, here it is the love of nature that prevails, healthy agriculture for joyful vines, living soils for living wines!
For the record, it was in 1993 that it began with the acquisition of the first plots by my mother Christine and my father-in-law Pierre Goisbault.
Since the field has evolved, has grown over time...
It was in 2008 that the call of the Earth and the love of wine led me with a few more hectares to join Pierre in the adventure...
In recent years our climate has been shabby, hail, frost, drought, with our eyes open on the Earth the peasant can only see that everything is changing, we must face and adapt and more than ever move towards agriculture that respects life.
I crossed my fingers for 2020 but Lady Nature once again took her part with a frost episode at the end of March, the harvest amputated by half but a very beautiful vintage in the making.
