Notes from the Winery/Importer

Tximista is the first Txakolina vermouth to arrive in the US and is only available in CA, NY & FL. The natural salinity and acidity of the wine helps create a perfectly balanced vermouth, for sipping over the rocks, in a hi-ball with soda water and a twist or using in your favorite cocktail. Both the Blanco and Rojo have the same amount of sugar content, however the Rojo has caramelized sugar, which gives it it’s natural color. The labels are inspired by 1950s junk type, as it was this period when Txakoli started to make its way out of the Basque.

Notes on the Producer

Tximista (pronounced “chee-MEES-ta) is the Basque word for lightning. This unique Vermouth is made from 100% Hondarabbi Zuri grapes, the indigenous varietal grown at the Talai Berri estate in the Bay of Biscay, known for making Txakoli. It is aromatized with over 80 Spanish botanicals and fortified with orujo (the pomace brandy of Basque country).
