Caveau des Byards—nestled in the heart of France’s Jura region—crafts this elegant Crémant du Jura Blanc Brut exclusively from Chardonnay. A meticulous production process ensures a sparkling wine of exceptional finesse, freshness, and balance.
FARMING: Practicing sustainable viticulture, the estate hand-harvests its grapes to preserve their integrity and expression.
VARIETY: 100% Chardonnay
TERROIR: Vines are planted on south- to southwest-facing slopes, benefiting from optimal sun exposure that enhances ripeness and flavor concentration.
VINIFICATION: Grapes undergo gentle fractional pressing to extract only the finest juice. A slow, low-temperature secondary fermentation yields delicate, persistent bubbles. The wine is then aged on laths for 12 to 18 months to build aromatic complexity.
AGING: Aged on lees for 12 to 18 months, adding richness and depth to the finished wine.
TASTING NOTES: This Crémant displays fine, persistent bubbles and a vibrant, refreshing palate—elegant enough for celebrations, yet easygoing enough for any day of the week.
