Notes from the Winery/Importer

From Abruzzo — one of Europe's most unspoiled and verdant regions — comes a wine that bridges two worlds effortlessly. Natural in every sense, yet uncompromisingly bold. Spontaneous fermentation on indigenous yeasts, everything done by hand, with zero temperature control, fining, filtration, or additions of any kind. Pure, honest, and alive. Biodynamic farming, a hands-off cellar, and the rugged soul of Abruzzo in every glass. Andrea & Daniela's deft touch ensures the balance remains intact — dark blackberry and cassis lead, with a subtle herbal note threading through. Complex, distinctive, and thoroughly memorable. This is the red you reach for when the grill is lit and the pizza dough is ready.

Notes on the Producer

Continental sommelier. Collaborator with Franco Soldera and Marino Colleoni. And ultimately, a winemaker in his own right. Andrea Ugolotti, alongside his partner Daniela Trolio, planted his roots in the Abruzzo hinterland and brought Colle Florido to life. Their 3.5 hectares encircle the village of Pianella — gentle hills where Adriatic breezes and Apennine altitude keep the grapes fresh, and the sun ensures full, generous ripeness. Wild mint, dandelion, barley, and wild carrot grow freely between the rows, a reflection of the living, biodiverse ecosystem Andrea and Daniela tend with care. Clay and limestone soils, vines between six and forty years old, low yields, and minimal intervention from vine to cellar. The cantina is a home garage — two wooden vats, a few old barriques, and nothing to prove. Just exceptional wine, made by hand.
