Notes from the Winery/Importer

Col di Luna produces sparkling wines at the foot of the Dolomites, carrying on a family tradition with a preference for the Brut style.

Flora Rosato is made from the local grape Raboso Piave, offering a unique balance of spice, brambly fruit, and energetic acidity.

The wine undergoes 12 hours of skin maceration before fermentation begins in stainless steel tanks. Once settled, the wine is transferred to bottles, where it completes fermentation, naturally creating its signature fizz. This traditional col fondo method leaves a slight sediment (‘fondo’) in the bottle, adding texture and authenticity.

As part of the FUSO project, this wine embodies Italy’s natural, characterful daily drinkers, sourced from long-time friends and dedicated farmers.

Notes on the Producer

FUSO is a project in the spirit of what people from Europe still do today: once a year they visit their favorite local producer to fill up large glass demijohns that they later siphon off into smaller bottles at home. Every year we collaborate with our favorite organic farmers to siphon off and bottle only the most delicious and characterful wines from classic and off-the-radar growing areas.
For every FUSO wine, we have someone local from our team that is following the batch with the producer, from the vineyard to the bottle and then transport to you. This kind of of attention to detail on the production side allows us to have great juice, instead of just a cheap tasting commercial tank wine, or even a just ‘good enough’ daily drinker. We’re very proud to be able to offer this kind of quality and terroir character, and it really is what drives the project.
A couple more details of what FUSO is all about:
• Terroir wines where grape variety and soil are the stars.
• Made by farmers (not tank-farms).
• Certified Organic (or practicing organic wineries in conversion).
• Native yeasts fermentations.
• Unfiltered or lightly filtered.
• Low sulphur (60 mg/l or less of added SO2).
• Delicious with alcohol levels between 12% – 13.5%.
