This is chardonnay from the highest elevation David farms and at this price it's a gift to the market. This stuff is hard to do. A steep, east facing hillside soaks up the morning sun then chills in the afternoon breeze.
It's a perfect california expression with energy, bright delicious fruit, and a sense of the sea.
These vines perched on a steep hillside on an east - facing slope that receives the first rays of the morning sun and cools off during the hottest part of the day as the sun crests over the mountain. Grapes are direct pressed. Tank settled for 24 hrs then racked off of gross lees. Fermented in stainless steel tank until dry then aged in neutral oak barrel for 1 year.
