100% Trepat, after 2018 vintage from Conca de Barberà from less than 3ha over clay & limestone soils, average vine age of 20 years. Hand harvested, destemmed, 14 day maceration with skins, direct press, spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts. 4 months in stainless steel with the lees before a light filtration, and a touch of SO2 at bottling. Think of this as a dark Rosé or light red that takes a chill beautifully. Tart, a little peppery in a playful way, fresh and lip-smacking. One of our most popular wines for the summer that sells out faster than we hope. L I M I T E D.
Fredi farms all of his vines organically with biodynamic principles and all of the winemaking is non-interventionist. The only thing ever added to the wines is a little sulfur at bottling. All ferments are with native yeast and there is no fining or filtering. The goal is to make wines with bright acidity, pure fruit and low alcohols. Spanish wines 2.0
So fresh and fun.

LECTORES VINI was founded in 2016 by Marc Lecha and Fredi Torres (Lec +Tores; lectores also means “readers”), longtime friends who share a passion for Catalunya’s unique local grape varieties and diverse regions, as well as a vision for making fresh and fluid wines that express the energy of intense Mediterranean terroirs in surprising new ways.
Marc is from Catalunya, an historian by education and publisher by trade, who fell in love with wine and decided to switch careers in 2009. He owned a natural wine shop in Barcelona for several years, then set off on a bike trip around Spain to deepen his understanding of the wine world and the people that make it tick. He spent a year in the Roussillon, working with Cyril Fhal at Clos du Rouge Gorge, followed by another year in Mallorca, before returning to Catalunya to start Lectores Vini with Fredi Torres. Fredi grew up between Galicia and Switzerland and travelled the world in his first career as a house DJ. He also fell in love with wine, enrolled in enology and viticulture school, then made the leap into winemaking. He honed his craft in the Priorat, at the legendary Clos Mogador then at Sao del Coster, before branching out to other regions as a consultant and co-founding Silice Viticultores in 2013.
Together, Fredi and Marc focus on three southern Catalan regions: Montsant, Priorat, and Conca de Barberà. Their Lectores Vini lineup consists of silky and vibrant wines from organically farmed grapes, vinified naturally, and priced accessibly. As Fredi says, “Marc and I are like Indiana Jones, looking for old vines, nice plots, and good grapes!”
Montsant Selección is a classic blend of Grenache, Carignan, and Syrah from the village of Masroig, which channels the rich personalities of those grapes and the Mediterranean warmth of Masroig into a velvety but mouthwatering expression of Montsant.
Priorat Clàssic is vibrant, versatile, and also mouthwatering, showing the electric charge of Garnacha and Carignan from Priorat’s famous rocky llicorella slate soils, alongside Lectores’ trademark light touch and restraint.
