;a Petite Prise de… is a blend of syrah and grenache grapes that have been aged 6 months in concrete vats. The color is dense and dark and exudes aromas of black fruits and spices. Fruity, young, and ready to be enjoyed.
We like La Petite Prise de… with charcuterie, cheeses, and sometimes simply as a glass of wine before dinner.
Between the Devil's Bridge and Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, legend has it that the monks used to go from village to village asking for alms. They asked the inhabitants to give according to their good conscience! Wine and olive oil were the most common offerings. The monks carried them on the backs of mules, in jars made by the potters of Saint-Jean-de-Fos. With time, these jars took the name of "conscience"! Echoing this legend, the mule and the conscience have become the symbols of Mas Conscience.
The pride of our estate lies in the location of our vineyard. At present, we devote a large part of our work to maintaining and enhancing the vines. As Mas Conscience has been producing organic wine for more than 10 years, we are particularly concerned about its preservation.
Organic viticulture has a long tradition at Mas Conscience. For more than 10 years, the former owners of the estate have been working in this way out of deep conviction.
We will continue to develop this approach in harmony with nature. For the vines, the wines and for our descendants!
