Wine Description Brambly and floral, complemented by a mix of pomegranate, black pepper and pyrazines all framed by an elegant tannic structure countered by a punchy acidity.

Vintage Notes (2023)
A cool, wet winter/spring followed by an atypically cool growing season allowed for longer than usual development on the vine with good acid retention.

Varietals
Also known as Brun Argenté (French for “Brown Silver”, a reference to the dark color of its grapes, and silvery underside of its leaves), Vaccarèse is one of the rarest allowable grapes in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, scarcely found bottled varietally.
Vineyards
The organically farmed Briarwood Vineyard (currently amid CCOF certification) situated in the central Templeton Gap sits atop a complex mix of alluvial soils over a bedrock substrate.
Winemaking
A two week fermentation including 50% whole clusters was followed by 5 months in neutral barrel prior to bottling.
