Request a Case OrderWe love the Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara AVA way out on the east end of our beautiful valley for its hot days and cool nights. Here at Penville we believe this is the perfect site for attaining a balance of vibrant acidity and the refreshing fruit qualities in rosé. This is our second vintage working with the esteemed Vogelzang Vineyard. Sustainably farmed, the fruit was pressed whole cluster then fermented using only native yeast in our 476 gl concrete egg and large neutral oak barrels. The wine was then aged in neutral 500L Puncheon and small stainless steel barrels for six months then bottled unfiltered and unfined.

Penville was founded in 2013 by friends Patton Penhallegon & Michael Villas to create wine from the central coast of California. Patton Penhallegon is the sommelier for Mozza restaurant in Newport Beach California and has worked for some of the top wine distribution company's in the country.
Michael Villas is an advanced sommelier who has worked for southern California's leading hotels and restaurants including Michael Mina's Aqua and Studio at the Montage Laguna Beach.
Our mission is to make a wine of purity, balance and grace that speaks of where it came from.
