Notes from the Winery/Importer

This wine consists of eleven different pre-Prohibition varieties (Orange Muscat, Traminer, Grand Noir, Mencia, Mission, Mourtau, Négrette, Péloursin, Trousseau, and Valdiguié) all interplanted. The vineyard is farmed organically. In 2021, 2.56 tons of fruit were hand harvested on 8/26 and 8/30 at 21.3 and 24.4 brix. The two picks, with 25% whole clusters, underwent 7-day cold-soaks until the fermentation began. The fruit was basket-pressed after fermentation, and élevage occurred in neutral barriques. The wine was aged for 18 months. Total SO2: 32ppm Cases: 156

Notes on the Producer

We are a family-owned and operated, authentic wine producer located in Paso Robles, CA. We strive to make elegant wines with more nuances than sheer power. We utilize diverse varietals from exceptional Paso Robles and Monterey vineyards. Our wines are made with minimal intervention and native ferments, and the fruit, acid, and tannins are balanced naturally. We embrace the growing season's inconsistencies and harvest's unpredictability rather than producing a standardized product.
